Governance
Token-weighted governance over protocol parameters, treasury, and upgrades.
GitSync governance is designed to transition from a core contributor multisig to full DAO control over the course of Phase 1 and Phase 2. $GSYNC holders vote on protocol parameters, treasury allocations, and contract upgrades.
Governable Parameters
Taker fee, maker rebate, marketplace royalty cut.
Length of each matching epoch window.
Distribution rate and split between committee and reputation.
Penalty amounts and downtime thresholds.
Grants, partnerships, and ecosystem investments.
Proxy upgrades with 48-hour timelock.
Timelock & Security
All governance actions are subject to a 48-hour timelock before execution (6 hours for emergency actions). This gives users time to review changes and exit if they disagree. The timelock is enforced by the contract, not by a multisig.
Proposal Threshold
To submit a governance proposal, a holder must have at least 0.1% of the total $GSYNC supply (100,000 $GSYNC) delegated to their address. Proposals that pass go to the timelock for execution.
